LARES Family Day 2023

At the LARES Family Day event, you will have the opportunity to meet Latina/o/x UIC students, staff, and your LARES advisor while learning about the UIC Latina/o/x student experience! We will provide you with information on financial aid, campus programs, academic, and scholarship opportunities. The presentations will be offered both in Spanish and English.

9:00 a.m. – 9:20 a.m. — Welcome & Overview
9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. — Workshop Session A

• Financial Aid Presentation: Overview your financial aid notification. Learn about opportunities available for students such as scholarships. 
• Ayuda Financiera Presentacion: Revise sus opciones de ayuda financiera y conozca las oportunidades disponibles para los estudiantes.
• STEM Panel: Learn about the various experiences and opportunities from current UIC STEM Students.
• Student Involvement Panel: Want to be engaged and involved on campus?  Hear about the different opportunities from various student organizations.

• For Parents Presentation: How to support your student during their UIC academic journey.
• Para Padres Presentacion: Cómo apoyar a su estudiante durante su viaje académico en la UIC.
• Career & Leadership Panel: Explore ways to be more engaged in your academics and learn about opportunities to become a leader. 
• How to be a successful UIC Student | All Majors Presentation: Learn tips and tricks to transition into a university and how to be successful during your time at UIC.
