Tina Schmidt-McNulty, MS, ACSM-CEP, RN, DHSc is a full-time instructor in the Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition. She compliments her degrees with numerous certifications in the fitness industry in personal training, aquatic instruction and group fitness instruction. She has also been a nurse on a cardiovascular unit and in cardiac rehabilitation. Dr. Tina had the opportunity to be a high school coach where she developed their season training program. She also recently completed her Doctorate of Health Science degree and her dissertation focused on cardiovascular disease, the associated risks, and barriers to exercise in cardiovascular nurses.

Schmidt-McNulty has been in the Fitness Industry for over 30 years as a presenter, author, coach, and instructor. She has written/published several articles on topics on special populations and risk factors. She also has had several roles promoting fitness/wellness programs in corporate, hospital and university settings. Her mission is to pique students’ interest in learning and to lay a solid foundation for future educational experiences.
